TRANSPORTATION/SHIPPING

Small Ticket-Soft Home (Non-Furniture/Non-Bedding/Non-Rug) Vendors:
Effective January 17, 2005, all small ticket-soft home (non-furniture/non-bedding/non-rug) vendors can begin entering Macy’s Home Store purchase orders into MacysNet for pickups on January 27, 2005 or later. All Macy’s Home Store shipments submitted through MacysNet for routing instructions must be entered into the NEW Macy’s Home Store division.

Soft home vendors must treat Macy's Home Store as a separate Macy's, Inc. division. Each Macy's, Inc. division should be on one separate bill of lading for that day, per Macy's, Inc. receiving location. Shipments for Macy’s Home Store should not be combined on a bill of lading with other Macy's, Inc. divisions (i.e. Macy’s East, Macy’s West, Macy’s South, Macy’s Florida, Macy’s Northwest, Bloomingdale’s).

Big Ticket (Furniture) Vendors: (See March 14, 2005 update above)
The systems conversion to Macy's Home Store from the previous Macy's separate divisions (Macy's East, Macy's West, Macy's South/RLG-Macy's, Macy's Florida/Burdine's-Macy's, Macy's Northwest/Bon-Macy's) is not taking place on 1/27/05 as originally communicated. You will continue to receive purchase orders written by the new consolidated Macy's Furniture team generated through the separate (Macy's East, Macy's West, Macy's South/RLG-Macy's, Macy's Florida/Burdine's-Macy's, Macy's Northwest/Bon-Macy's) Macy's branded division. These orders should be shipped and invoiced to that Macy's branded division on the purchase order. Shipments submitted through MacysNet Shipping for routing instructions must be entered into the separate Macy's branded division on the purchase order. As new dates for the conversion are confirmed (expectation is late February), we will communicate via our website, www.macysnet.com , and email. This announcement pertains only to Macy's Furniture/ Bedding/Rug vendors. The soft home conversion for Macy's Home Store will continue as planned.

For more information regarding transportation procedures and requirements, refer to the Macy's, Inc. Transportation Routing Guide or call the Macy's Transportation Office at 404-250-7200.
